The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) hosted an awareness seminar for Chennai's Ayurvedic, Siddha, and Unani medicine producers.
Tamil Nadu Ayurvedic, Siddha, and Unani medicine manufacturing companies should not only obtain 'ISI' certification for their products, but also manufacture medicines in accordance with the Indian standards of the AYUSH sector, according to Meenakshi Ganesan, Deputy Director General (South Zone) of the Indian Standards Institution, who spoke at an awareness meeting held at the BIS South Zone office in Chennai on Thursday. She added that the people should be made aware of the dependability of medications.
Participating in this occasion were G. Bhavani, Head of the Indian Standards Institution's Chennai Branch, and G. Krithika, Member Secretary, AYUSH Department.
